Video Ad Requirements
Medium
Video ads must comply with platform policies covering video length, data collection, format, availability, content clarity, quality standards, explicit content, copyright, and third-party ad serving. For instance, unskippable in-stream ads in auction campaigns cannot exceed 30 seconds, and those in reservation campaigns cannot exceed 60 seconds, while skippable in-stream ads have no length limit. Video content must be clear, professional, and easy to understand, prohibiting blurry, low-resolution, or shaky footage. Ads must not use copyrighted film clips or music without permission.
Video ads must comply with standard Google Ads policies, including video length, data collection, acceptable formats, availability, content clarity, quality standards, explicit content, copyright, and third-party ad serving.

The policy explicitly prohibits videos containing illegible text, poor audio quality, or blurry or unrecognizable imagery, ensuring users receive relevant and useful information.
Ads with video containing illegible text, poor audio quality, or blurry or unrecognizable imagery will be disapproved.
Ads must not contain content that infringes upon any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or other legal rights. This encompasses promoting or selling counterfeit products, or misappropriating another company's trademarks (names or logos) and/or unique features to impersonate genuine products. Using similar or confusingly similar logos, spellings, or color schemes to well-known brands in ad creatives or copy, or unauthorized use of another's likeness, signature, or brand slogan to build trust, may constitute infringement.

Gray area: Compatible products: e.g., "iPhone charging cable" - allowed, but without Apple logo; Used genuine products: must be clearly labeled "used," reasonable price; Homage/inspired by: no brand identifiers, clearly state not genuine; Suspected infringement but undetermined: similar design without obvious trademark - suggest marking as medium risk; "Chanel-style jacket" (without mentioning Chanel)
Misleading and False Content
Medium
Ads are prohibited from containing false, misleading, or exaggerated claims about product effectiveness, as well as inconsistent information. For example, promises or exaggerations of product effects (like "instantly get slender legs") are not allowed, nor are absolute terms such as "TikTok's #1 ranked." Visual elements designed to mislead user interaction (e.g., fake play buttons) are also forbidden. Significantly modified AI-generated content must be clearly disclosed. The use of before-and-after comparison images to promote significant changes in the human body is prohibited.

Ads must not contain content that is frightening, sensational, or excessively violent. This includes visual content depicting or describing acts of bodily harm, killing, torture, war, criminal behavior, and extreme physiological phenomena such as excessive bleeding, exposed organs, or dismemberment. Violent or graphic content with artistic, historical, or educational value may be allowed under appropriate circumstances, but must be clearly labeled and restricted, for example, by setting age limits.

Ads must not implicitly cause users to develop any negative self-perception about their body image, and are prohibited from using language and imagery that shames, demeans, or exaggerates user body flaws, such as "ugly," "flabby," or "no one likes you." Users must not be induced into self-negation through "comparison images" or "rating scores." The promotion of sexual enhancement products, adult toys, or services is also forbidden.
